Six of us met at our usual meeting place, Asda car park, on Sunday 8/6/14 at 8.30 am for our field trip to Dynevor park in LLandeilo. What we lacked in numbers, we more than made up for with enthusiasm.
We were the first people to arrive so spent some time taking photos of Newton House and some inquisitive cattle before it got busy and more people joined us.
Shortly afterwards we made our way to Dynevor Castle where we took lots of lovely scenic shots. We also had the pleasure of being serenaded by Margie, very good acoustics there!
We made a unanimous decision to go back to Newton House for lunch in the cafe where we had a chance to look at each others shots and discuss our morning.
After a lovely lunch we all wandered around inside Newton House and had our group shots taken. It's a beautiful house with lots of character.
After some time spent outside taking some shots we decided to visit Carreg Cennen Castle. As Tony's party arrived first, he decided he'd go into a field of cows and get some shots. It transpired later that there were actually bulls there too. We did try to persuade Tony to pretend he was running from the bulls so we could get some shots for dramatic purposes but he sadly declined!
After the second party arrived, we decided that the light wasn't ideal to go to the castle itself. We all retired to the cafe for tea and coffee and a chat before heading home.
Highlights of the day have to be Tony's jokes and Margie's singing! Another highly enjoyable outing with excellent company as usual.
